84 Days, 15 Years, 15 Days

Morning hotel coffee and some fresh air.

Day 6 of the work trip, and it’s starting to feel like it.

Been 50 years old for 84 days. Proud father for 15 years. Been separated and single for 15 days. Almost married for 19 years.

She is still my best friend, and I want her dreams to be fulfilled. Our life paths are diverging now, and that’s hard. I’ve felt it coming for a long time, and I believe it will ultimately be better for both of us, but that doesn’t make it easier or any less painful in the moment.

Still here. Still standing.

I don’t know what’s next, but I’m headed there.

Evening Stroll

Unwinding after another 10 hour day of work. Had a good evening walk/ruck on the West Ashley Greenway. 90 degrees and humid is a delightful presoak for a shower back at the hotel!

Morning Coffee

Morning hotel coffee. I think this is going to be a lot of pics of my morning coffee and where I happen to be that particular day. I live hotels about half the time for work travel. This trip I’m in Charleston, SC for the third time this year. The hotel is about 1/2 mile from my old apartment I lived in almost 20 years ago!

It begins. A new phase of blogging/writing/sharing/connecting and a new phase of life. Today is morning hotel coffee and reading on the road for work. Day 3 of 12 and just getting settled in.
